They are the UK’s national autism research charity. Who focus on giving autistic people the opportunity to live long, happy, healthy lives. They do this by funding research, shaping policy and working with autistic people to understand their needs. Founded in 2004 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Dame Stephanie Shirley CH, whose son Giles was autistic.
By supporting cutting edge research on autism and related conditions, Autistica are able to work with autistic people to understand their priorities for research so that they can make a difference at every stage of their lives.
